The Syli sewing pattern includes two variations. Both the dress and the blouse are relaxed everyday garments with a loose fit.
They feature a gathered bodice, a shallow tuck across the chest, and a hemline that dips slightly longer in the back. The neckline is finished with binding with a back vent secured by ties.
The calf-length dress has two deep tucks around the hemline of both the skirt and sleeves as well as in-seam side pockets. The ¾-length sleeves of the dress have gathered ends finished with binding and ties.
The blouse is hip length and has straight ½-length sleeves with turned hems.
The dress and the blouse are also available as individual patterns.

Fabric Recommendations:
Choose a light to medium-weight, non-stretch fabric. Depending on the desired result, you can select either a low-drape fabric or a fabric with a little drape. Cotton, linen, Tencel and rayon shirtings or dress-weight fabrics are recommended. You can cut the binding from your fabric or choose a premade binding. If your fabric is light or drapey, interface the pocket openings of the dress using fusible interfacing.

Dress: 315 – 390 cm (3 1/2 – 4 1/4 yd)
Blouse: 165 – 220 cm (1 3/4 – 2 3/8 yd)
115 cm / 45″ wide fabric:
Dress: 375 – 445 cm (4 1/8 – 4 7/8 yd)
Blouse: 210 – 255 cm (2 1/4 – 2 3/4 yd)
Note: For patterned or napped fabrics, the fabric requirement may be higher.
